About the Role:
Lean On Me Inc. is looking for a compassionate and driven Peer Support Specialist & Recovery Coach to join our Behavioral Health team in Idaho Falls, ID. Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one peer support and recovery coaching to individuals navigating behavioral health and substance use challenges
- Assist clients in developing personalized recovery plans and setting achievable wellness goals
- Connect clients with community resources, social services, and treatment programs
- Offer crisis support and help clients build coping skills and resilience strategies
- Facilitate peer support groups and recovery-focused workshops
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress in compliance with Idaho Department of Health & Welfare standards
- Collaborate with behavioral health clinicians, case managers, and community partners to ensure coordinated care
Requirements:
- Personal lived experience with mental health or substance use recovery is required
- Idaho Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Strong empathy, active listening, and motivational interviewing skills
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented systems of care
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries while building authentic, trusting relationships
- Basic computer skills for documentation and case management software
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
